The aim of the session is to shine a spotlight on how vitally important the need for early diagnosis and treatment of sepsis is in surgical patients, including how the SOFA (Sequential Organ Failure Assessment) score, electronic sepsis surveillance, early warning tools, and source control fit into the picture.
